Eligible Members of the Department of Colorado, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States in need of emergency financial assistance across the State of Colorado can apply for a one time grant of $500. In the event the need is greater than the assistance that can be provided, the veteran will be referred to outside resources for additional assistance to prevent eviction/or loss of shelter; help with employment/interviewing/resume writing. Veterans will also be referred to our Veterans Service Officers for help with VA Claims and Benefits or, to their Local Human Services Agencies for any additional state assistance as they may qualify.
To file for assistance, please fill out the Grant Application Form (below) and send it to VFW Department of Colorado Headquarters via mail.
