Western Slope VFW Post 3981 and Auxiliary 3981 in Grand Junction hosted a Stand Down in Sept 2024 and served over 175 Veterans-in-need. Twenty-eight members of the Post and Auxiliary volunteered their time to assist Veterans during this event.
Sixteen VSO's were also on hand to provide Veterans with information concerning Veteran Benefits and available resources for Veterans experiencing financial and housing challenges. The event was held at the Western Region One Source facility in Grand Junction.
